Madthorn Zinia

A strange creature born out of the unlikely fusion of a zyglak's tail, a sample of morbuzahk, and a krana bathed in energized protodermis and pit mutagen. During the great cataclysm, all these elements came together in the deep underground archives of Onu-Metru. Out of the primordial ooze crawled a small, fleshy lump of a creature; an infant Zinia. She later evolved to feed on Visorak, and began developping a thin protodermis exoskeleton and insectoid features. As she consumed more visorak brain matter, she gained more sentience, and gained portions of their knowledge, learning the matoran language, and about the war raging on in their universe.
Upon reaching her current form, the Dark Hunters recruited her. She accepted out of the promise of larger food sources. However, the Shadowed One considered her dangerous due to her ability to mutate rapidly, and had his most qualified scientists formulate a special Zamor Sphere that would stunt her growth. The Shadowed One had Ancient use it on her, but it had an unintented side effect. The Rhokuta mutated her into a crysalis state, and put her in a coma. Thinking she was dead, the Shadowed One set her adrift in the ocean of Aqua Magna.
Years later, Zinia awoke to a changed world. Aqua Magna had fused with the other planets into Spherus Magna, and she had lost her ability to mutate. She was later found by Damarak, and the two of them now pursue the Shadowed One together.


Powers:

Her current form was developped specifically for hunting down visorak. Her exo-skeleton can withstand their rhokuta effects to a certain extent, and glide on their webs with ease. Her sharp talons can tear through almost anything. The barbs that line her face and chest are infact enlongated fangs, and she can open them to swallow enemies whole. She possesses three wings on her back that do not enable sustained flight, but are powerful enough to launch her huge distances in the air. She also percieves time slightly slower than us, and can act with lightning fast reflexes. Even with the Zamor sphere stunting her growth, she is still able to gain information by consuming brain matter.
